Why I publish these numbers
Every month I publish the numbers of every product I run: users, revenue and the hours I put in. The reports give me and everyone else a short update on the biggest changes and the insights behind them. A month is a good cycle, long enough to get somewhere, short enough to still go into depth.
The products
The Tours
The Tours had a difficult season. We rebuilt the whole app hoping it would help us focus on our main purpose: that riders can easily find, ride and track beautiful motorbike tours. Getting new users worked quite well, having them constantly come back did not. That is why we focus on better activation.
Friendly Match
Friendly Match is still being built. The idea is to give coaches in amateur leagues an easy way to find an opponent for a friendly game.
This month
The biggest thing is that I started this blog, because I have two hopes for it. Firstly it helps me to constantly work on my projects and ideas, and it is a good way to reflect from time to time. The second one is to show what I am capable of doing.
Next month
I will mainly focus on the Friendly Match tool. But I also have two or three other ideas I want to start. I want to build a little portfolio product as fast as possible, and then write about the interesting technical details of these products.
